Your Opportunity:
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess client status and take appropriate intervention measures. With a focus on patient safety and well-being, the RN ensures the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of client care plans. This position requires the ability to work effectively within a team environment, contributing to client care planning processes and service delivery improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations.
- Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making to deliver safe, quality patient care.
- Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.
- Support an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy rural hospital, with experience in ER and Acute Care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in CTAS, TNCC, & ENPC.
- Charge Registered Nurse experience.
- Experience in a day surgery unit and experience with post-procedural sedation and anesthesia.
