The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and healthy environment. As a RN, you will utilize the nursing process, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to assess client status and develop effective care plans. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, while also contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
* Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex patient needs
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
* Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with best practices and evidence-based care
Requirements:
* Completion of an accredited nursing education program
* Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy rural hospital, with experience in ER and Acute Care
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certification in CTAS, TNCC, & ENPC
* Charge Registered Nurse experience
* Experience in a day surgery unit and experience with post-procedural sedation and anesthesia
