Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing high-quality patient care and services to clients across the life span. With a focus on critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the RN ensures the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of client care plans. This role requires the ability to accurately assess client status and take appropriate intervention measures to impact patient medical conditions, safety, and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations
* Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Teach, counsel, and advocate on behalf of patients and their families
* Play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance

Requirements:

* Completion of an accredited nursing education program
* Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy rural hospital with experience in ER and Acute Care
* Certification in CTAS, TNCC, & ENPC
* Charge Registered Nurse experience
* Experience in a day surgery unit and experience with post-procedural sedation and anesthesia
