Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in supporting our daily operations.

About the Role:

The Financial Operations Assistant will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders/vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in accounting and gain valuable experience in a dynamic and expanding organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Upload financial information to journals and ledgers
  • Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
  • Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
  • Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
  • Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
  • Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
  • Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

Requirements:

  • General ledger experience preferred
  • Strong familiarity with Enter Invoices
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Outstanding data entry skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience recommended
  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
