Clinical Services Coordinator

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Services Coordinator to provide a range of clinical services to adults and their families affected by mental illness and/or substance use or gambling disorder. The successful candidate will work in both clinic and community settings, providing screening, assessment, brief intervention, case management/navigation, individual and group treatment. This role requires a high degree of independent practice, excellent assessment skills, and the ability to implement an evidence-based plan of care.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor of Social Work degree, registered or eligible for registration with a professional regulatory body. The ideal candidate will have one year of post-BSW clinical experience in Mental Health and Addictions, with skills in screening and risk assessment, including suicide risk assessment. The successful candidate will also have experience in offering brief, supportive intervention strategies focusing on harm reduction and recovery, as well as group facilitation skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical services to adults and their families affected by mental illness and/or substance use or gambling disorder
- Work in both clinic and community settings, providing screening, assessment, brief intervention, case management/navigation, individual and group treatment
- Develop and implement evidence-based plans of care
- Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and family members to provide comprehensive care
- Bachelor of Social Work degree
- Registered or eligible for registration with a professional regulatory body
- One year of post-BSW clinical experience in Mental Health and Addictions
- Skills in screening and risk assessment, including suicide risk assessment
- Experience in offering brief, supportive intervention strategies focusing on harm reduction and recovery
- Group facilitation skills
This is a long assignment full-time position, with 75 hours biweekly. The successful candidate will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing high-quality care to clients and their families.
Compensation and IncentivesThe hourly rate for this position is $33.27-$42.01. The successful candidate will also have access to a range of benefits and incentives, including professional development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.
