We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at Gladys Pet Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our veterinarians.
Key Responsibilities- Animal Care: Handle, restrain, and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Assistance to Veterinarians: Assist veterinarians before, during, and after surgery, providing support and ensuring a smooth surgical process.
- Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
- Treatment Administration: Administer treatments as prescribed by a veterinarian, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Identification and Counseling: Identify livestock and counsel clients on animal health care, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Research and Support: Conduct and assist in laboratory research, contributing to the advancement of veterinary knowledge and practices.
- Office Management: Perform routine office management and clerical duties, ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital.
- Dental Procedures: Perform routine animal dental procedures and assist veterinarians with animal dentistry, maintaining high standards of care.
- Nursing Care and Rehabilitation: Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals, promoting their recovery and well-being.
- Wound and Bandage Care: Provide wound and bandage care, ensuring the proper treatment and management of animal injuries.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of your work.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
- Excellent Communication: Possess excellent oral communication skills, able to effectively interact with clients, veterinarians, and other team members.
- Flexibility and Teamwork: Demonstrate flexibility and a strong team player attitude, willing to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Experience and Education: Possess relevant experience and education, with a strong foundation in veterinary care and support.
