About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Veterinary Helper at V&V Enterprises, DBA Clearbrook Animal Hospital. As a key member of our animal care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry patients.

Responsibilities
  • Bathing and Grooming: Bathe and shampoo animals, ensuring their coats are clean and healthy.
  • Cleaning and Disinfecting: Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of animals treated, including their medical history and treatment plans.
  • Assisting Veterinarians: Assist veterinarians with inoculation and treatment of animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Supply Management: Maintain and order supplies, ensuring we have everything needed to provide top-notch care.
  • Animal Handling: Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Work Setting: Animal hospital environment.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with attention to detail required.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to handle animals up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, reliability, and teamwork are essential.
