About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Gladys Pet Hospital. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care and Handling
    • Assist veterinarians with animal handling, restraint, and care during treatment and surgery
    • Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
  • Medical Support
    • Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
    • Administer treatments as prescribed by a veterinarian
  • Client Communication
    • Counsel clients on animal health care and provide education on animal behavior and nutrition
  • Administrative Support
    • Perform routine administrative tasks, such as maintaining medical records and processing payments
Requirements
  • Education
    • College or CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a veterinary setting is an asset
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
