About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Veterinary Helper to join our team at Clearbrook Animal Hospital. As a Veterinary Helper, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our furry patients and their owners.

Responsibilities
  • Bathe and shampoo animals to ensure their cleanliness and comfort
  • Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Keep accurate records of animals treated, including their medical history and treatment plans
  • Assist with inoculation and treatment of animals, under the supervision of our veterinarians
  • Clean animal ears and maintain their overall health and well-being
  • Maintain and order supplies to ensure we have everything needed to provide top-notch care
  • Clip animal nails and perform dental cleaning on domestic animals
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
