The Nephrology Clinical Development Specialist will play a key role in planning, developing, and implementing educational activities at a unit/team-based level. This specialist will foster the development of competence in learners and support learning and competency with the renal dialysis unit (RDU) and the 6Link inpatient unit as required.

This role involves:

  • Acting as a resource to preceptors for ongoing preceptor development;
  • Providing clinical expertise within the care team related to patient care, continuing education, development and/or review policies, objectives, and guidelines;
  • Supporting unit-based strategic plans and initiatives.

Key qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required;
  • Master's Degree considered an asset;
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Peritoneal Dialysis, Hemodialysis, and Apheresis required;
  • Nephrology certification or enrollment in the certification process an asset.
