The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Dietitian to join our Hematology/Oncology and Nephrology Team at IWK Health Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the nutritional management of children within our team, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.

As a Clinical Dietitian with IWK Health Centre, you will participate in the planning and program development of our team, assisting in the education of Health Centre staff, dietetic interns, and affiliating students on normal and therapeutic nutrition. You will also share responsibility with all dietitians to provide caseload coverage throughout the Health Centre, as well as weekend stand-by and call-back coverage as required.

Your Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree with major credits in nutrition or dietetics, successful completion of a dietetic internship program, and current license to practice with NS Dietetic Association, or eligible to obtain a license.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a health care setting, with a strong background in pediatric, nutrition, enteral, and parenteral nutrition, and nutritional counseling.
  • Skills: Excellent time management, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team, and independently.
