Job Summary:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role will provide essential operational support to our human resources management activities and work closely with the HR team to ensure the effective implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for human resources operations for a portfolio of hotels and real estate properties within Tidan Inc. by serving as the HR representative for these properties on all matters related to employee and manager relations, including disciplinary management and investigations.
  • Provide training to managers on various HR procedures.
  • Manage administrative processes related to employee hiring, onboarding, and offboarding, including contract preparation, document collection, and file management.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance of HR policies and procedures with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Support the recruitment process by drafting job advertisements, distributing offers on appropriate platforms, and sorting applications.
  • Maintain accurate and organized management of employee files, including contracts, appraisal forms, personal data, etc.
  • Prepare periodic HR reports for data analysis and monitoring of key performance indicators, including seniority lists required in collective agreements.
  • Collaborate with the HR Manager in meetings with unions of properties in their portfolio.
  • Respond to employees' questions on internal policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to updating the company's intranet site.
  • Participate in organizing activities and social events within the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience).
  • Previous experience in a human resources coordination/administration role is preferred, particularly in a unionized multi-company environment and/or in the hospitality industry.
  • Bilingual French/English (spoken and written) as we serve properties in Quebec, English-speaking Canadian provinces, and the United States.
  • Familiarity with Quebec human resources laws, regulations, and practices. Additional knowledge of human resources laws, regulations, and practices in Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Florida, Arizona, and California is a plus.
  • Proficiency in common IT tools, such as human resources management software and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • A valid driver's license is a plus for travel to our properties outside Montreal.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
