About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Sensei Lanai, A Four Seasons Resort. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day running of the Resort's kitchen, managing food costs, production control, reducing wastage, and providing culinary training for all culinary employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the kitchen team to ensure efficient and effective food production.
- Manage food costs, production control, and reduce wastage to optimize kitchen operations.
- Provide culinary training and guidance to all culinary employees to ensure high-quality food service.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu concepts and culinary initiatives.
Requirements:
- Four to six years of operational kitchen experience with a diversity of culinary experience and a proven track record in fine dining.
- Supervisory and management experience is required, and culinary qualifications are essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with colleagues and management.
