Executive Chef for Culinary Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at HY'S of Canada Ltd. in Whistler.
Job SummaryThis is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
- Analyze operating costs and other data to inform menu planning and food preparation
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff, ensuring a high level of quality and presentation
- Supervise specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to maintain a smooth and efficient operation
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to meet high culinary standards
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, using local ingredients and innovative techniques
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and high-quality food production
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies, arranging for deliveries and maintaining inventory levels
- Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets, and specialty functions to provide personalized service and menus
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities, including menu planning and purchasing
- Develop and implement recipes, menus, and food preparation procedures to meet quality and efficiency standards
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Executive Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Cook Trade Certification, Canadian Federation of Chefs and Cooks certification, and Safe Food Handling certificate
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
