Financial Reporting Manager

BDO Canada is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to join our Financial Reporting & Insights team in Peterborough. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising the preparation of working paper files, financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, and providing technical and project management leadership skills to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and complete working paper files, financial statements, and corporate and personal tax returns
  • Provide technical and project management leadership skills to team members
  • Assist in the direction and training of staff, reviewing completed files to ensure quality of work
  • Prioritize projects, establish budgets, and assign staff to meet client deadlines
  • Maintain a positive client relationship and identify new business opportunities
  • Participate in delivering formal project/team performance reviews

Requirements:

  • CPA designation
  • 3-4 years of experience with Notice to Readers or Assurance engagements, corporate and personal tax, and compilations
  • Excellent skills in Accounting Software, including Sage, QuickBooks, Caseware, and Excel
