Job Summary

The Government of Nunavut is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead the Home and Community Care program in the region. As a key member of the Health Programs team, you will provide program expertise and coordinate support to planning, program development, service delivery, and evaluation for home and community care programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate expertise across the department, partner departments, and agencies to ensure efficient and effective program delivery.
  • Develop and implement program strategies to promote community development and deepen community capacity.
  • Ensure compliance with territorial standards of care and deliver quality case management, nursing, and support services to clients in their home setting and other community settings.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in nursing or diploma in nursing with five years' experience in community nursing, including three years of supervisory experience.
  • Eligibility to register with RNANTNU.
  • Basic BCLS certification with annual re-certification.
  • Wound care, diabetes care, palliative care, specialized foot care, peripheral intravenous (PIV) and central intravenous (IV) access certificates are considered an asset.
