Regional Operations Director

The Regional Operations Director will ensure that all branch locations within the assigned region operate efficiently, achieve profitability objectives, and adhere to company policies. This individual will oversee operational, administrative, compliance, and sales activities within the region to accomplish established goals. They will provide leadership and guidance to branch managers and directors to ensure the effectiveness of management staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To prepare an annual business plan for each branch or operation, which can be effectively implemented by local management to achieve desired results including safety goals, cost of operations, capital requirements, productivity standards, desired profit margins, growth objectives, and performance goals.
  • To consolidate branch plans as needed for forecasting or performance review.
  • To utilize knowledge of environmental services to achieve low-cost and competitive disposal.
  • To allocate capital and resources within the region to accomplish both profit and growth objectives.
  • To review all compensation and incentive plans within the region and recommend and approve changes to key management compensation.
  • To work with the sales group to implement pricing policies and act as pricing authority for the region or operating line of business.
  • To direct and coordinate growth and expansion through optimized operational delivery, customer service, effective pricing strategies, bids and tenders, strategic acquisitions, new projects, and services.
  • To promote and sustain the company's high standards, sound principles, and positive image.
  • To routinely review operating results and recommend changes with executive management.
  • To periodically review branch financial results with local management and develop a comprehensive action plan to correct unacceptable trends or results.
  • To ensure each branch or location has adequate and trained management and staff to accomplish and exceed all branch, region, and corporate desired results.
  • To conform in all respects with applicable federal, provincial, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and other orders, and to all company policies, procedures, and directives from executive management.
  • To perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by executive management.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Seven or more years' experience within the Ontario Environmental Services industry or equivalent, serving in a regional management capacity or higher.

Salary Information:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
