About the Role

Vortex Aquatic Structures International is seeking a visionary leader to join our executive team as the Director of Information Technology (IT). This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving our digital transformation initiatives to deliver exceptional customer experiences through technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Operations Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize IT operations, ensuring seamless integration of technology to elevate customer interactions.
  • IT Systems Development: Spearhead the development of innovative IT solutions, including the integration of IoT and ISV solutions such as Expert Logic, SolidWorks, and Unreal.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to drive business objectives.
  • IT Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to drive business growth.
  • Business Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with key business and technology stakeholders to perform business requirements analysis, defining short, medium, and long-term IT strategies and objectives.
  • Project Management: Ensure projects are aligned and prioritized with the company's objectives, overseeing innovative technology adoption and infrastructure projects.
  • Problem Resolution: Provide problem resolution and ongoing support related to the company's IT systems, ensuring proper functioning and efficiency of the ticket management system.
  • Resource Management: Manage internal and external resources, licenses, and consultants, negotiating and managing agreements with IT partners.
  • Contingency Planning: Anticipate company needs, identify risks, develop, and implement contingency plans, and provide innovative solutions to business challenges.
  • Performance Indicators: Implement and manage performance indicators to drive continuous improvement of processes and systems.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A master's degree (MBA in IT management) is nice to have.
  • Experience: Proven track record of 10+ years in progressively responsible IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years of experience in senior management or executive positions.
  • Skills: Strong leadership skills, excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French, strong collaboration skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems architecture, network security, cloud computing, and enterprise software solutions.
