About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Sales Manager to join our team at Sport Chek. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading a high-performing team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a daily sales plan to drive sales growth and meet business objectives.
  • Lead and coach a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive loyalty and repeat business.
  • Stay up-to-date on visual standards, product knowledge, and industry trends to provide expert advice to customers.
  • Collaborate with other departments to drive business results and achieve company objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Proven track record of sales growth and customer service excellence.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated interest in or involvement in sports or the sporting goods industry an asset.
