Job Overview

Sport Chek is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Department Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading a team of sales associates, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and increase sales revenue.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and coaching sessions to ensure team members are meeting sales targets and providing excellent customer service.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and promotions.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and productive work environment that fosters teamwork and employee engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to ensure Sport Chek remains competitive.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail sales environment, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of sales associates.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement.
