Job Title: Paralegal

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our team. This permanent position is located in Halifax, NS.

About the Role:

As a Paralegal with our organization, you will be responsible for providing legal research and case management services to Crown Attorneys. You will utilize law libraries and online legal research tools to prepare comprehensive legal memoranda and manage large files. Your strong organizational skills and ability to work independently will be essential in this role.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in regulatory and criminal law
  • A thorough knowledge of the Criminal Code, Provincial statutes and regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
