About the Role

We are seeking a strategic policy lead to join our team at The Government of Nova Scotia. In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic guidance on priority files, addressing emerging issues, and ensuring government priorities are actioned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams addressing broad range of priorities, representing the department on various cross-disciplinary initiatives.
  • Ensure teams working on key priorities are aligned with government's strategic priorities, leading the development of quality briefing materials for legislative committees and other priority work.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a bachelor's degree in a related area, plus six years of progressive policy experience. Demonstrated experience leading or managing projects or project teams is required. You will also have strong leadership skills and experience in providing leadership to cross-functional teams that span divisions and departments. Excellent communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and facilitation skills are essential.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $3,107.16 - $3,649.33 bi-weekly, based on PR 17 pay grade. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, life insurance, general illness, short and long-term disability, vacation, and employee and family assistance programs.
