Sessional Instructor: Materials and Methods

OCAD University is seeking a qualified individual to fill a Sessional Instructor position in the Faculty of Arts & Science.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and teaching-related responsibilities, including course outline development, studio preparation and delivery, grading, and evaluations. The instructor will also be expected to promote a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment for students, staff, and faculty.
Responsibilities- Teach and deliver course content, including lectures, critiques, and grading
- Develop and implement course outlines and assessments
- Prepare and deliver studio sessions, including demonstrations and hands-on activities
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
- Contribute to the development of a respectful and inclusive learning environment
- Terminal degree in art, design, or a relevant discipline
- Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and experience promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment
Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6,871.00 (per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, per the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
