Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Instructor to teach our Introduction to Psychology course in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver course outlines, lectures, and critiques that meet academic and curricular requirements.
- Grade student assignments and evaluations, and provide feedback to students.
- Meet health and safety requirements and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in departmental and faculty meetings, and contribute to the development of curriculum and academic programs.
Qualifications:
- Terminal degree in psychology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience teaching at the post-secondary level, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and experience promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment.
Terms of Employment: Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Sessional compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6, per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay, per the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
