OCAD University is seeking a qualified individual to fill a Sessional Instructor position in the Faculty of Arts & Science.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and teaching-related responsibilities for the course SCTM-2008: Intro to Materials Science. This course provides an interdisciplinary study of the structure, properties, and applications of traditional and contemporary materials used in art and design.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver course outlines, studio preparation, and lectures
  • Grade assignments and evaluations
  • Meet academic and curricular requirements and deadlines
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in art, design, or relevant discipline
  • Experience teaching at the post-secondary level
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and experience promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment
Terms of Employment

Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6, per 0.5 credit course, plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay.
