Job Opportunity at OCAD University

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Sessional Instructor for the course Materials & Methods: Beadwork. This is a temporary/contract position, and the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and teaching-related responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver course outlines, studio preparation, and lectures
  • Grade assignments, conduct mid-term evaluations, and final evaluations/reviews
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications:
  • Terminal degree in art, design, or relevant discipline
  • Experience teaching at the post-secondary level (or equivalent relevant experience)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and experience promoting a respectful and inclusive work and learning environment
Terms of Employment:

Sessional appointments are fixed-term annual contracts. Compensation includes a per-course pay scale with salary level of $6,871.00 (per 0.5 credit course) plus 7% in lieu of benefits and vacation pay.
