Child and Youth Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Child and Youth Mental Health Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering time-limited, evidence-based assessments and treatments to children and youth with Tier-3 mental disorders and Substance Use Disorders.
Responsibilities- Deliver psycho-social assessments and treatments to child & youth with Tier-3 mental disorders and Substance Use Disorders within a Stepped Care framework
- Practice guided by disorder-based clinical care pathways
- Participate in a consultation group for collegial support, accountability, and effectiveness of assessments and treatments
- Master's Degree in a clinical health-related discipline (Masters in Social Work, Psychology, Masters in Counseling, Masters in Nursing, or Masters in Occupational Therapy)
- Current registration with relevant provincial regulatory body or eligible
- Minimum two (2) years' related experience required including assessment and planning, treatment and intervention, and discharge planning
- In-depth understanding of the principles of harm reduction, the dynamics of addiction, and evidence-based interventions for the treatment of addiction
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in individual/group cognitive behavioral therapy as well as psycho-educational groups
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in crisis intervention, suicide, and violence risk assessment/intervention
- Ability to take initiative, work independently with limited supervision, and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Competencies in collaborating with families in relation to sharing information and implementing family-sensitive services that involve families in the care and recovery of people living with mental illness and addiction
- $37.31 - $49.04 Hourly (or $33.27 - $42.01 for less than 2 years of experience)

- Permanent Full Time position with 75 hours bi-weekly
