Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will be responsible for the initiation and management of invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation, as well as acting as an expert in advanced airway management.
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will deliver and manage the administration of oxygen and other compressed gases, aerosolized medications, and high humidity therapies. You will also perform and interpret related pulmonary diagnostic testing, and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve physician goals for patients' cardiorespiratory status.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a graduate degree from a recognized School of Respiratory Therapy, and who holds/maintains registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists. You must also hold/maintain certification in CPR at NRP and ACLS levels.
As a successful candidate, you will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. You will also be adaptable and flexible to adjust to the changing needs of the service and the program/facility.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent part-time position, with 70% of 52.5 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $32.43 - $40.66, and successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
