About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based psycho-social assessments and treatments to children and youth with Tier-3 mental disorders and Substance Use Disorders.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline, current registration with a relevant provincial regulatory body, and a minimum of two years' related experience. You will have a strong understanding of the principles of harm reduction, the dynamics of addiction, and evidence-based interventions for the treatment of addiction.

You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing individual and group therapy sessions. You will also participate in a consultation group to ensure collegial support, accountability, and effectiveness of assessments and treatments.

About You
  • Master's degree in a clinical health-related discipline
  • Current registration with a relevant provincial regulatory body
  • Minimum two years' related experience
  • Strong understanding of harm reduction, addiction dynamics, and evidence-based interventions
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Basic competencies in identifying and treating concurrent mental health and substance use disorders
  • Experience in interviewing, counseling, and teaching health concepts to individuals, families, and groups
Hours
  • Permanent Full Time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Incentives

$37.31 - $49.04 Hourly

Less than 2 years experience: $33.27 - $42.01
