Adult Community Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary:
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive care to adult patients in a team-based model. The successful candidate will work in a fully accredited, 228-bed acute care facility, collaborating with community partners to deliver client-centered, recovery-focused care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric assessments and treatment to patients in medical and surgical wards, and liaise with primary care teams for integrated patient care.
- Assess, manage, and round on psychiatric clients admitted to the unit.
- Collaborate with the Mental Health Team, Assertive Community Treatment Team, and other community partners to deliver comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License - Full
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
- Previous experience in an inpatient unit is an asset.
