Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plastic Surgeon to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). As a Plastic Surgeon, you will be responsible for performing surgical procedures to correct congenital and acquired defects of the skin and underlying tissues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, and preventive or curative methods
  • Study the nature, cause, and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases
  • Act as consultants to other physicians and order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Supervise working groups and ensure the highest standards of patient care
Requirements
  • Must have a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in a hospital setting
  • Must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and licensed by provincial or territorial authorities
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform repetitive tasks. The ability to distinguish between colors and manual dexterity are essential for this role.
