Assistant Professor, Microbiome and Neurodevelopment Expert

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary. The successful candidate will hold an Azrieli Accelerator Professorship for a period of five years and will become a member of the Snyder Institute for Chronic Diseases and the Owerko Centre for Neurodevelopment and Child Mental Health at the Alberta Children's Hospital Research Institute.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiome research, with a focus on neuroimmunology or neurodevelopmental disorders. They will be expected to conduct a vigorous, externally funded research program that augments our existing priorities in microbiome, neuroimmunology, and neurodevelopmental conditions. The successful candidate will also contribute to teaching undergraduate and graduate topics in microbiome-brain interactions and supervise graduate students.
