Acvaa, a leading institution in veterinary medicine, invites applications for a full-time or part-time Veterinary Anesthesiologist position.

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team as a Veterinary Anesthesiologist. The successful appointee will be appointed in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and will have the opportunity to establish an active research program that aligns with the University's strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching-focused stream: Majority of time dedicated to teaching within the anesthesia curriculum, including lecture and lab instruction.
  • Teaching and research stream: Establish an active research program that aligns with the University's strategic plans.

The successful candidate will also participate in clinical work in the Distributed Veterinary Teaching Hospital, spending time in community clinics.

Requirements
  • DVM (or equivalent) and board certification (DACVAA and/or Dipl. ECVAA) preferred; board eligible ACVAA or ECVAA residency trained candidates will be considered.
  • An additional graduate degree is considered an asset.
  • Eligibility for immediate licensure in the Province of Alberta.

We offer a competitive salary package, which includes an estimated $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we provide opportunities for professional development and growth, as well as a supportive and inclusive work environment.
