Handyman/Woman - Maintenance and Repair Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Handyman/Woman to join our team at Canadian Sofa Solution Ltd. as a Maintenance and Repair Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities, equipment, and furniture.
Key Responsibilities- Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
- Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Contractor Coordination: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
- Appliance Repair: Perform minor repairs on appliances.
- Heavy Lifting and Moving: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Lawn and Garden Maintenance: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- Winter Maintenance: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.Requirements
- Criminal Record Check: A criminal record check is required for this position.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding tasks.
- Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, and reliable.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Language: English.
