Registered Psychiatric Nurse

Shared Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide professional nursing services to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.
Responsibilities:- Provide independent nursing services, including administration of prescribed medical treatments and leadership within the healthcare team.
- Facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge, ensuring a smooth transition for patients and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program.
- Active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
- Recent, related mental health experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients, and respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
- Knowledge of College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses, and Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
- Proficient with computers, software programs, and applications such as Windows and Word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
