Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Psychiatric Nurse/Registered Nurse to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing services to patients, including those with complex and unpredictable health needs.
  • Administer interventions and treatments, and take a leadership role within the healthcare team.
  • Facilitate coordination of patient care and discharge, and demonstrate a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Psychiatric Nursing program or approved Registered Nursing program required.
  • Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of active registration with the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) or the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent, related mental health experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses/Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Registered Psychiatric/Registered Nurses.
  • Knowledge of College of Registered Psychiatric/Registered Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics for Registered Psychiatric/Registered Nurses.
