Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Limited.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the service and maintenance of Siemens Gamesa wind turbines at our Alberta Wind Turbine site, as well as supporting other sites across Canada as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new field procedures and best practices
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers

Requirements

  • College Diploma or equivalent competency in a field related to wind farm maintenance (electrical/mechanical systems)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, including PLC programming and converters
  • Strong initiative and motivation to learn new technology and translate learning into personal success
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work safely and effectively in a team environment

Location
