Project Engineer, Renewable Energy

Calgary, Alberta, Canada ATCO Full time

As a key member of the ATCO EnPower team, you will play a critical role in driving the development and execution of renewable energy projects in Alberta and beyond. With a strong focus on project design and construction, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of these projects.

Key responsibilities will include conducting constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews, identifying new opportunities and challenges in project development, and completing reviews of designs, specifications, and commissioning documentation. You will also support project managers with technical tasks, scheduling reviews, and consultant and contractor work reviews.

To be successful in this role, you will require a degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, combined with project engineering and management experience. Professional Engineer designation with APEGA or another engineering association is also highly desirable. Experience in renewable projects, including design, planning, and construction, is essential, as is proficiency in regulatory requirements for renewable project development.

As a team player with excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, you will be able to work collaboratively with peers and leadership to drive project success. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage critical deadlines and conflicting priorities is also essential.
