Renewable Energy Project Manager

As a key member of the ATCO EnPower team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and execution of renewable energy projects in Alberta and beyond. With a strong focus on project design and construction, you will drive continuous improvement through collaboration with other departments and management.

Key responsibilities will include conducting constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews, identifying new opportunities and fatal flaws in projects, and proposing mitigation strategies to overcome challenges. You will also complete reviews of designs, specifications, construction plans, and commissioning documentation, and support project managers with technical tasks, scheduling reviews, and consultant and contractor work reviews.

Additionally, you will assist in planning, estimating, and scheduling of related project deliverables, manage technical scope of work, and provide recommendations for equipment selection, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, cost reductions, project design features, and compliance to changes in code or regulations.

With a strong team player mindset, you will be able to work independently and collaboratively with peers and leadership, and have experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage critical deadlines and conflicting priorities.

As a Project Engineer for Renewable Energy Development, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including renewable energy projects, and contribute to the growth and development of the company.

Key qualifications include a degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, combined with project engineering and management experience, and a Professional Engineer designation with APEGA or another engineering association that could be transferred to APEGA.

Experience in renewable projects, including design, planning, and construction, as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements for renewable project development, is also essential. You will also have experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage critical deadlines and conflicting priorities.
