Estimator Job Description

Quanta Canada Renewables is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the development of our company's processes and procedures, leveraging industry-leading best practices and decades of expertise to support the transition to a cleaner, more sustainable future for Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive project cost estimates for utility-scale wind and solar projects
  • Determine contractor and labor needs, calculate job profitability, and prepare and submit bids
  • Maintain cost databases and leverage tools and established processes from the Quanta Renewable Energy Platform (QREP)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 4-6 years of Estimating Experience in the Power Generation industry
  • Strong understanding of project design and integrated EPC process, as well as construction means and methods
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with multi-disciplinary teams
