Project Overview

EllisDon is seeking a highly skilled Project Director to lead our construction projects from pre-construction to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in general construction, excavation & shoring, underground utilities, bridges, and structure below grade and at-grade.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall construction management, including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent.
  • Prepare regular, timely, and accurate billings for Owners and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
  • Meet with Owners and Architects in a professional manner and communicate effectively on the company's concerns and best interests.
  • Monitor, interpret, and forecast project cost reports to ensure they align with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to support the team's development and progression.
  • Submit project reports to the Area Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a Project Manager in general construction.
  • Experience with structural piling or concrete work is an asset.
  • Ability to confidently mentor and delegate to a large team while developing and maintaining strong client relations.
