- Frequentis Canada Ltd. (FCA)- FCA is a key supplier to NAV CANADA, the Department of National Defence, and the Canadian Coast Guard. FCA covers the entire value chain: Development, Sales and Delivery, and is looking for a dynamic individual who is ready to lead the effort to grow those key accounts, and seek out new business opportunities in other markets.- Key Tasks
- The Managing Director holds responsibility for the leadership and development of the Frequentis local business - managing development and operations, driving sales, profitability & market share and achieving high levels of customer & employee satisfaction.- The Managing Director will develop and deliver a commercially successful strategy based upon the specific dynamics & opportunities presented by the local market, but also consistent with the vision, culture, values and objectives of Frequentis Group**.
- The main areas of responsibility:
- President of the local subsidiary, with all local personnel reporting to him/her, holding full P&L responsibility
- Managing the local main departments heads, such as Finance, Operations, Sales, PMO, R&D and HR and providing support and empowerment to employees to reach company objectives

- Key Qualifications
- Key Competencies- A minimum of 5 years as MD/CEO/GM, with the proven ability to lead and grow a sophisticated technology / engineering-led business. Experienced in the operational and financial elements of general management, with a strong Sales and R&D background.
- An outstanding track record and well-developed network & reputation within relevant industries including ATM and Defence, Maritime and Public Transport, including familiarity with key customers, competitive dynamics and market trends.
- Hands-on experience of leading large-scale, complex, long-term bids, including orchestrating teams, managing complex processes and delivering successful outcomes. Proven track record in handling large deals in the delivery phase.
- Well-honed strategy skills, with the ability to support the development of the Frequentis local and global strategic plan.
- An entrepreneurial mindset - able to respond at pace to market developments & emerging opportunities and to develop & implement creative, pragmatic commercial solutions.
- A highly effective communicator and relationship developer. Open & transparent and capable of engaging colleagues, partners and customers at all levels. Serving as an ambassador for Frequentis at industry events, conferences, public fora and in the media.
- A positive and inspirational management style - engaging, inspiring, empowering and developing colleagues, aligning them to the Frequentis strategy and objectives, driving their performance and developing their potential.
- Capable of thriving in a highly collaborative, diverse and cross-cultural international environment, with the ability to develop and maintain a network of productive working relationships with colleagues within the local company and across Frequentis businesses around the world.
- The following indicates specific industry, academic and functional experience/qualifications that are important to the successful achievement of the identified responsibilities and performance deliverables.- A dynamic and self-motivated person with structured working style who can achieve results without much supervision.
- A person whose nature is to lead independently, while cooperating and aligning closely with HQ at all times.
- A bias for action.
- Engineering degree or related preferred.
- A minimum of five years as an MD/CEO/GM, preferably with Air Traffic or Defence related firms.
- Previous position as MD, Sales Manager, BD Manager, Country Manager or similar role preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of the Canadian industry segments addressed by our client.
