Our Opportunity

Northern Health is seeking an experienced Adult Psychiatrist to join our team in Prince George at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC). As a member of our department, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care while contributing to the education and development of medical students and residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric services to adults, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of mental health conditions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Mentor and educate medical students and residents in psychiatry
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and departmental research projects
Requirements
  • Eligibility for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
  • Demonstrated expertise in adult psychiatry, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
