Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is between $120,000 - $180,000 CAD, depending on experience.

Job Description

The Director, Nurse Practitioners provides clinical leadership and coordination to support the clinical practice development, implementation, and evaluation of Nurse Practitioner (NP) professional practice. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing NP roles within Northern Health
  • Focusing on quality clinical support and developing NP quality practice environments
  • Providing professional development and education for Nurse Practitioners

This role requires collaboration with Medical Directors, Executive Leads, Medical Leads, physicians, specialists, and managers within an integrated system of services built upon a foundation of primary care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of seven to ten years of progressive experience in administrative and advanced nursing leadership roles
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Project management and community development skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging healthcare and nursing practice issues at the provincial and national levels
