The Role

This IT Service Management leadership role reports to the existing Manager, IT Delivery Services. You'll be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of an application development team to meet or exceed company objectives.

  • Manage application development functional deliverables for multiple concurrent projects from inception to completion.
  • Effectively allocate resources to optimize project portfolio delivery.
  • Ensure that application development milestones are met by anticipating issues, managing resources and risks.
  • Drive test-driven development and other engineering best practices and continuous improvement of development processes.
  • Lead, mentor and coach the software development team, including Development, Business Analysis and Quality Assurance.
  • Ensure adherence to technical standards, process and policy.
  • Foster a climate that supports relationship building and collaboration with other IT teams and throughout the business.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A university degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Enterprise IT environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading agile development teams.
  • Proven ability to manage design and development activities on multiple simultaneous application development projects.
  • Experience in providing planning and reporting of development team activities and progress.
  • Highly developed planning, organizing and negotiating skills.
