About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Analyst to join our North America Group Financial Controls team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's regulatory compliance, efficient risk management, and strong internal control environment.

Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the manager in planning, developing strategy, and budgets, assessing required resources, and establishing timelines related to the 52- financial controls certification process. You will also review and evaluate the effectiveness of the design and operation of the framework of key internal controls related to Regulation 52-

In addition, you will establish and maintain good communication with various stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of issues, deadlines, and updates on activities related to 52- certification. You will support clients in developing action plans or identifying and choosing solutions to remedy deficiencies noted, carry out prompt follow-up on recommendations for timely implementation, and participate in the development and implementation of best practices and tools aimed at optimizing processes and working methods.

You will also provide assistance to external auditors as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with a professional designation of CPA. You should have proven experience (4-6 years) in auditing, 52-, SOX, or equivalent professional experience, knowledge of accounting standards, and financial controls. Additionally, you should have experience in the insurance and investment field, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work well in teams and collaborate with cross-functional departments.

A high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics is essential, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required due to the necessity of interacting regularly with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
