Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting team at our Kingsville Head Office Location. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing daily cash deposits, processing customer payments, and updating customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily cash deposits, including necessary reports to be filed with the bank
  • Process customer payments, applying to and updating the appropriate customer account
  • Research and process customer short payments, discrepancies, price adjustments, and charge backs
  • Reconcile company customer accounts with corresponding data obtained from the customer
  • Assist with related special projects and audits, as required
  • Perform general office duties, as required

Requirements

  • Accounting College/University Graduate and a minimum of 3 years related work experience
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Solid experience in Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV considered an asset
  • Must be self-motivated, ability to work autonomously with strong problems-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task, strong time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic analytical skills required, strong math and communication skills needed
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Be respectful and deal tactfully with customers and other employees
  • Company confidentiality agreement will be required
  • Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision, and take ownership of job
  • Willingness to work with a high degree of professionalism and personal integrity

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
