Mastronardi Produce is a leading greenhouse vegetable company in North America, known for its award-winning produce and commitment to innovation. We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily cash deposits, including necessary reports to be filed with the bank.
  • Process customer payments, applying to and updating the appropriate customer account.
  • Research and process customer short payments, discrepancies, price adjustments, charge backs, product returns, and bad checks.
  • Answer customer accounts receivable phone inquiries and follow-ups.
  • Call and/or mail correspondence to customers as necessary to collect outstanding accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile company customer accounts with corresponding data obtained from the customer.
  • Assist with related special projects and audits, as required.
  • Basic filing of relevant customer documentation, including invoices, bill of ladings, cash remittances, and other customer correspondence.
  • Back-up reception phone coverage.
  • Perform general office duties, as required.

Requirements:

  • Accounting College/University Graduate and a minimum of 3 years related work experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Solid experience in Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV considered an asset.
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work autonomously with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task. Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Basic analytical skills required, strong math and communication skills needed.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be respectful and deal tactfully with customers, and other employees.
  • Company confidentiality agreement will be required.
  • Willingness to work independently, with minimal supervision and take ownership of job.
  • Willingness to work with a high degree of professionalism and personal integrity.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Use of company computer and phone.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
