Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist to join our team at Cronos GrowCo. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, following up on outstanding balances, and processing payments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Take ownership of all A/R and A/P functions, including invoicing, following up on outstanding receivable balances, and completing the 3-way match before processing cheques.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Corporate Director of Finance, including preparation of month-end journal entries and reports, reconciliation of General Ledger accounts to sub-ledgers, and completion and monitoring of A/R aging.
  • Cash Flow Management: Assist with cash-flow forecasting and manage the last step of the vendor payment process, including access to bank accounts, collecting and sending payments, and creating EFTs.
  • Bank Reconciliations and Deposits: Perform bank reconciliations and deposits at branch, and file all accounting paperwork with an emphasis on being 'Audit Ready'.
  • Team Support: Provide direction and training to other team members as needed, and support the Corporate Director of Finance in providing support for both the year-end audit and quarterly reviews.
Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Accounting: A post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting is required.
  • Accounting Experience: A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience within the functions of accounts receivable and/or accounts payable is required.
  • Self-Motivation and Results-Oriented: The ideal candidate is self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, are required.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail are essential.
