The University of British Columbia seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Processor to provide timely and accurate processing of accounts payable transactions. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that goods and services contracted by the Food Services department are recorded, reliable, and processed in an accurate, timely, and auditable manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit and process supplier invoices, employee expenses, and other AP transactions with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the SHCS Purchasing team to ensure adherence to proper purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and suppliers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the planning and organization of diverse activities to ensure the department's needs are satisfied and risks are mitigated.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, plus three years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven experience with accounting software, preferably Workday and Optimum Control, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian tax laws, including GST/HST and PST self-assessment guidelines.

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth in a dynamic environment.
